Winter engagement photos in Old Montreal, Quebec
Whether you’re a local Montrealer or you’re travelling here for a weekend getaway, winter time can be one of the most photogenic times for this city. And it’s a perfect chance to take winter engagement photos. The white snow outlines all the tree branches. Christmas lights brighten up the early nights. It can be an opportunity to get creative couples photos taken that will truly highlight this city’s unique character.
The challenges of winter engagement sessions
Sure, shooting couples photo sessions in winter comes with challenges. If the weather is harsh, you need to dress warmly and take some breaks inside. But that also means a chance to wear cute layers and cozy scarves and mittens.
Here are some of Victoria and Evan’s winter engagement photos in Old Montreal! We walked around the Old Port on a bright sunny winter’s day, getting some candid engagement photos. Evan is a hilarious guy and kept making his fiancée laugh, which made for very happy, silly, natural photos.
We took one short break for the couple to warm up inside a coffeeshop, which gave me a chance to photograph them through the window.
